It is applicable to Mk 2 BR843 Barrier Machines without a support frame, 6.6m booms and under. 

All new barriers (from June 2020) have been fitted with the new EPDM Rubber Gasket. 

Purpose 

This Notice Board identifies the availability of a new retro fit gasket (0086/024618) for SPX MK2 BR843 Barrier Machines and highlights the potential safety risk with the existing mastic sealed method. It is recommended that this new gasket is fitted at the next available opportunity or as part of upcoming maintenance work to reduce the risk of failure.
