It is applicable to Mk 2 BR843 Barrier Machines. All new barriers with serial numbers 20150 and after (fromOctober2020) have been fitted with the new diode protected microswitches.
Purpose
This Notice Board identifies the availability of a new diode protected microswitch for the door and boom detection on an MK2 BR843 Barrier Machine and highlights a potential safety risk.
It is recommended that these new parts are fitted at the next available opportunity or as part of upcoming maintenance work to reduce the risk of failure. Projects with this equipment should check/install the new version of the microswitch.
