Executive summary
This F003 Addendum submission covers the modification of the Collision Protection Beam standard drawings to include;
• Incorporation of a ‘structural fuse’ design approach based on updated design standard BD 65/14.
• Incorporation of lessons learnt from a number of CPB impact incidents in the form of designer guidance for the design and specification of post-installed anchors.
• Inclusion of Code of Practice guidance for post-installed anchors (BS 8539).
• Update to Protective Treatment details.
A Technical User Manual (TUM) incorporating user guidance has also been produced.
This was instructed under the Project Managers Remit for CP5 SDC Review Package A signed by Steve Williams on 21st July 2017.
