The purpose of the examination is to determine the Earthworks Hazard Category for the asset and to monitor any changes in its condition, loading or environment that could indicate or lead to deterioration of the earthwork.
Purpose
Earthwork examinations are carried out to check the likelihood of failure of the asset. These examinations are required to confirm the asset failure likelihood and to qualitatively assess its ability to perform its function.
The purpose of this document is to help to standardise the information recorded by different examiners.
