a) new / renewed equipment/systems; and

b) modified or upgraded equipment/systems.

This procedure does not apply to testing undertaken as part of day-to-day maintenance / fault rectification activities.

This procedure does not detail any occupational health and safety requirements or Construction (Design and Management) Regulation requirements.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to detail the procedure for testing and commissioning of telecoms equipment and systems installed on Network Rail controlled infrastructure.

The testing and commissioning activity is essential for validating and verifying the design meets the requirements.
