This Company Standard applies to all non-traction high voltage electrical equipment in sub-stations and compounds on Network Rail owned infrastructure.

Equipment within such sub-stations and compounds that is the responsibility of the DNO is excluded from the scope of this specification

25 kV AC single-phase distribution, AC power supplies for DC traction systems and Overhead Line Equipment is excluded from the scope of this specification.

Purpose

This specification states the minimum periodic maintenance requirements for nontraction high voltage electrical equipment so that the safety and reliability of railway electrical distribution systems is maintained.
