This Specification has been prepared to supplement the provisions of the relevant European, British & International Standards; and codes of practice for the purchase, quality control and inspection of overhead contact line cantilever assemblies for use on 25kV AC or 25-0-25kV AC Electrified Lines.
This specification applies to the procurement of cantilever assemblies used in the UK Master Series overhead contact line system for support of main catenary and contact wire .
It excludes cantilever assemblies used to support the autotransformer feeder conductor, other power distribution feeders or in bespoke bridge / tunnel arrangements e.g. Rigid Overhead Conductor (ROC) system or stress graded bridge arm supports.
This specification should be read in conjunction with the relevant standards listed in section 2.
