This module applies in all circumstances where any person is required to lead the construction, renewal enhancement and modification of OLE on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure.
A competence of OLEC 5B will provide Industry wide recognition (by assessment) of an individual’s comprehensive underpinning Knowledge of the various OLE systems and company/group standards, legislation, relevant experience, qualifications and awareness of NWR E & P project and engineering processes and best practices. The OLEC 5B assessment panel comprises of (as a minimum) an accredited OLEC Trainer/Assessor, and a PEM (NWR) with appropriate knowledge or E & P Professional Head (PC) from the sponsoring company.
Purpose
The purpose of this module is to define the competence requirements for persons required to take and relinquish responsibility for overhead line equipment between renewal, enhancement and construction activities.
