A Management System Manual is an internal Level 3 document originated by Major Project / Programme within Infrastructure Investment. It demonstrates delivery of the Network Rail Health and Safety Management System, Guide to Railway Projects (GRIP), and legislative requirements. Where the System is modelled on BS EN ISO 9001: 2000, OHSAS 18001:2007, BS EN ISO 14001:2004 or other similar certificated or registered management system, it also describes the high level procedures and System structure for compliance to that particular standard (s).

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to define the minimum requirements of a Management System Manual. The intent of a Major Project / Programme Management System Manual is to provide guidance on how an Infrastructure Investment Major Project or Programme deploy legislative, company or locally produced requirements in support of the delivery of their scope of works.
