This Standard applies to;

a) all rail trailers and rail mounted attachments with more than two rail wheels towed or propelled by OTP

b) items of OTP that are towed as trailers

c) failed items of OTP being recovered when on Network Rail managed infrastructure.

Trailers with braking equipment to UIC specifications do not fall within the scope of these rules.

Purpose

This Standard details the requirements and actions to be taken when using trailers and attachments on Network Rail managed infrastructure.
