This specification contains the technical requirements for Automated Route Setting Systems (ARS) for use in conjunction with control systems that are of sufficient size

to require an ARS function.

This specification does not describe the operation of the control system and should be viewed as a product specification for use when designing an ARS system for

incorporation within a control system.

This specification applies to:

a) any organisation involved in the development of an ARS system; and

b) any product that will be approved through the product acceptance process for use as an ARS system.

Purpose

Development of products in line with this specification will deliver a product that meets operational requirements and reduces delay minutes.
