Purpose

This document is part of the suite of documents contained within the Signalling Works Testing Handbook, NR/L2/SIG/30014 , which together detail the requirements for signalling works testing activities.

This document specifies the requirements for the production of Signalling Works Test Specifications and Test Certificates, and mandates a standardised format for the certifying of satisfactory testing achievement using Test Certificates.

The actual equipment or testing type specific Test Specifications and Test Certificates are issued as sections of NR/L2/SIG/30014/D120 , and their current status is listed in NR/L2/SIG/30014.

This document details how Test Specifications and Test Certificates are used, in association with the Test Plan, to define the mandatory tests and procedures necessary to test new or altered signalling equipment with sufficient depth that, when implemented in conjunction with the other applicable parts of the Signalling Works

Testing Handbook, safe working is confirmed when signed into service.
