This level 2 standard applies to work that meets the criteria defined in NR/L2/SIG/30014/A100.

Purpose

This document is part of the suite of documents contained within the Signalling Works Testing Handbook, NR/L2/SIG/30014, which together detail the requirements for signalling works testing activities.

This standard, unlike other chapters in Signalling Works Testing Handbook, uses processes and procedures based on those within NR/L3/SIG/11231. It defines the testing planning and other additional requirements which, when met, allow Signal Maintenance Testing techniques to apply to non-conceptual works and small scale emergencies.

The requirements within this standard apply equally to testing of both pre-planned non-conceptual works and emergency work, except where specified otherwise.
