NR NR/L2/SIG/30097 ISSUE 2 PDF

This Level 2 standard applies to all signalling schemes which are to be delivered using Modular Signalling.

This standard mandates the use of NR/L2/SIG/30097/001, Modular Signalling Handbook and its appendices (as modules NR/L2/SIG/30097/AppA to NR/L2/SIG/30097/AppO). It describes principles, derogations and non-compliances which are applicable to Modular Signalling Schemes only, and describes the way in which derogations and non-compliances to the Modular Signalling Handbook itself may be pursued.

Projects other than those designated Modular Signalling Schemes may not make use of these principles, derogations and non-compliances without obtaining separate, project specific authority to do so.

This standard also mandates the update and separate issue of Handbook modules on the authority of the Modular Signalling System Authority following review by the Professional Head (S&T) and Head of Operations Principles and Standards.

Purpose

This Level 2 standard introduces Modular Signalling and mandates use of NR/L2/SIG/30097/001, Modular Signalling Handbook when developing and implementing a Modular Signalling Scheme.
