This specification defines the mechanical and electrical properties for flexible insulating standard and divisible (split) conduits suitable for affording mechanical protection to signalling power cables in accordance with RT/E/PS/00005, BS 6231 and BS 5467 to reduce the likelihood of live conductors coming into contact with exposed conductive parts forming part of switchgear assemblies and apparatus housings.
Purpose
This specification defines the requirements for flexible insulating conduits to be used in Class II based signalling power distribution systems.
