c) The installation of specific type of telecommunications systems and equipment, but not the trainborne parts of track to trains systems
The specification does not cover:
a) The manufacture of individual items of equipment
b) The installation of trainborne equipment
c) Equipment ordering details and processes; and
d) Contractual and Safety Requirements
Purpose
This specification, in support of Company Standard NR/L1/TEL/30029 - Telecoms Installation, details the minimum acceptable requirements for the installation of Telecommunications equipment on Network Rail infrastructure through the use of associated business process documents.
The associated work instructions define the minimum requirements for the installation of all Network Rail assets to achieve:
a) correct and consistent interpretation of design detail
b) a neat and tidy appearance
c) compliance with the client's specification requirements, so that the installation is dependable, fit for purpose and free from defect
d) use of "Best Practice" as defined by NR/L1/TEL/30029
