This instruction applies to all persons engaged in the maintenance of CCTV cameras used by Network Rail and/or the SFO.
Purpose
This instruction defines the requirements for an inspection regime by the telecoms maintainers of CCTV cameras used by Network Rail and/or the SFO.
The purpose of maintaining CCTV cameras is to decrease the incidence of failures through deterioration and to identify potential defects before they become service affecting.
This instruction does not cover cameras used in DOO CCTV systems, the maintenance of which is detailed in NR/L2/TEL/30072.
