This instruction applies to all persons engaged in the maintenance of CCTV monitoring equipment used by Network Rail and/or the SFO.
Maintenance of CCTV Video recorders is covered in NR/L2/TEL/30115 and CCTV Cameras in NR/L2/TEL/30110.
This instruction does not cover equipment used in DOO CCTV systems, the maintenance of which is detailed in NR/L2/TEL/30072.
Maintenance of UPS equipment supporting CCTV monitoring equipment is detailed within NR/L2/TEL/30081.
Purpose
This instruction defines the requirements for an inspection regime by the telecoms maintainers of CCTV monitoring equipment used by Network Rail and/or the SFO.
The purpose of undertaking maintaining CCTV monitoring equipment is to decrease the incidence of failures through deterioration and to identify potential defects before they become service effecting.
