Purpose

This instruction defines the requirements for an inspection regime by the telecoms maintainers of recorded announcement equipment used by Network Rail and/or the SFO.

The purpose of maintaining recorded announcement equipment is to decrease the incidence of failures through deterioration and to identify potential defects before they become service effecting.
