This Standard is a support document for the development and production of a project Test Plan and associated Test Specification(s) and details the minimum mandatory tests that are to be carried out on Security CCTV installations prior to the commissioning and bringing into service of the equipment on the operational railway.

This standard applies only to new works installations and does not apply to activities undertaken as a result of maintenance.

This standard does not include:

a) any required Factory Acceptances Tests (FATs) or Site Acceptance Tests (SATs)

b) health and safety requirements

c) methods for performing tests

d) the requirements for the production of a test plan

e) installation requirements

The testing and commissioning procedures are detailed in the company standard NR/L1/TEL/30092, Telecommunication Testing and Commissioning Procedure and supported in NR/L2/TEL/30098 - Testing and Commissioning of Telecommunications Equipment and Systems.

The requirements for telecommunications installation are detailed in NR/L1/TEL/30029 Telecoms Installation.

This standard does not detail any CCTV coverage requirements.

This standard does not define any requirements for the testing of Driver Only Operation (DOO) CCTV systems.

Purpose

This Standard, in support of NR/L2/TEL/30098 – Testing and Commissioning of Telecommunications Equipment and Systems, details the tests that are required to be carried out on a security CCTV installation that falls under the scope of NR/L1/TEL/30092, Telecommunication Testing and Commissioning Procedure.
