This procedure applies to all Network Rail employees who in the course of their duties or for their personal development require the services of the Competence and Training organisation as well as Line Managers, Human Resources Managers and Competence and Training employees who may be involved in the identification, prioritisation and authorisation of those training needs.
Purpose
This procedure sets out the process to be followed for training needs to be identified, prioritised and authorised by a responsible manager prior to submission of a formal training request to the Competence & Training Management. Adoption of this procedure will provide a prioritised Training Needs Analysis (TNA) that can be used by Competence & Training to develop a training delivery plan.
