This document applies to all personnel involved in the administration and competence assessment of Network Rail Apprentices. It applies only to competences defined in Network Rail standards and does not apply to the NVQ assessment process.
Purpose
The purpose of the document is to define the administration processes to be followed to enable the accurate and timely recording of competences gained by an Apprentice during years 2 & 3 of their development.
The document sets out the processes to be followed:
• When an Apprentice completes a training event
• To pass information regarding achieved competences to the relevant Line Manager
• When a Line manager receives information regarding achieved competences.
