This module is applicable to Network Rail personnel, to Network Rail’s contractors and to Train Operating Company personnel.

It covers the processes to be followed in requesting and obtaining an Isolation of the conductor rails and the issue of Conductor Rail Permits for work on the conductor rail system.

Purpose

This module provides instructions for persons working on or near to the 3rd rail d.c. electrified lines between Moorgate and Drayton Park that will enable them carry out their duties without risk of danger from the conductor rail to themselves or other persons.
