This standard applies to any Maintenance staff from any discipline when carrying out routine or non routine tasks which involve the Mobile Plant activities identified within the index.

Purpose

This standard provides the index and version control of Risk Control Sheets for the use of Mobile Plant, which includes RRV and RMMM and their attachments, for Activities within Maintenance.

Each Risk Control Sheet provides in a consistent format (described in NR/L3/MTC/SE0116) a summary of the key hazards and controls identified within a standard Work Activity Risk Assessment. They standardise safe working arrangements across Network Rail's Maintenance function.

The RCS format is the preferred means to communicate risk controls to work teams.
