This procedure applies to all the MMTs owned and operated by Network Rail Infrastructure Maintenance (IM) and all Network Rail staff. The procedure works in collaboration with applicable standards of any Railway Undertaking (RU) contracted to operate the MMT.

This module applies to all methods of operation undertaken from the A50 control desk situated in the MMU;

a) movement of the MMT in both directions at 2km/h (1.25m/h)

b) deployment of either MMU sidewall

c) operation of the hoist

d) operation of the MMU sidewall vents

e) operation of the sidewall laser

Purpose

This module provides control of the risks associated with the operation of the Mobile Maintenance Train (MMT) by the competent operative using the A50 control desk.
