This procedure defines how NCRs are managed and reported via the Responsible Manager to the Lead Auditor, or are escalated to a National Issue via the Head of Maintenance Compliance and Assurance, so that they are tracked to a satisfactory conclusion. Once completed the NCR shall be closed on the Network Rail National Integrated Audit Database by the Lead Auditor.

Purpose

The purpose of this procedure is to establish the process for the management of Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) issued to areas within maintenance as a result of audits being undertaken.
