This Network Rail standard specifies the following power supply management processes:

a) identifying the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) and local contacts for each supply point;

b) Electrical Power Supply (EPS) registration;

c) Establishing contact between the DNO and the Network Rail Delivery Unit E&P Maintenance Engineer;

d) EPS outage notification and management;

e) EPS quality monitoring and review.

This process applies to all Electrical Power Supplies (EPS) obtained via a supply connection from the local DNO, excluding traction power supplies.

Purpose

The purpose of this Network Rail standard is to specify the key activities within the power outage management process.
