This Engineering Management Plan (EMP) applies to infrastructure projects, except where the type, complexity and scale of the whole of the project is covered by the NR/L3/MTC/RCS0216 Risk Control Manual and the complete works are managed and undertaken by Infrastructure Maintenance. In such cases Infrastructure Maintenance may undertake those projects relying on those controls and need not apply this standard.

The Engineering Management Plan for Projects provides the mechanism to address the technical requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM Regulations) as defined by NR/L2/INI/CP0047 Application Of The Construction Design And Management Regulations to Network Rail Construction Works. The requirements of this standard apply to all projects which are notifiable under the CDM Regulations.

Purpose

This document specifies how Infrastructure Maintenance comply with NR/L2/INI/02009 Engineering Management for Projects. It shall be read in conjunction with NR/L2/INI/02009.
