This process:

• applies to all maintenance staff whose duties include the planning, analysis and rectification of track gauging and positional issues

• includes the monitoring, survey and rectification of passing clearance issues

It is the responsibility of the Territory Maintenance Director to ensure that all roles identified in this procedure are mapped to the relevant Territory/Area/Delivery Unit/other organisation.

Purpose

This process outlines the requirements of the maintenance organisation to manage the monitoring and survey of track position relative to fixed structures, manage and undertake the work associated with the process in accordance with:

• NR/SP/TRK/001 Inspection and Maintenance of Permanent Way

• NR/L2/TRK/3201 Management of Tight Clearances and Track Position
