INTRODUCTION
[Insert Station Name] Station's biggest cause of overcrowding is service disruption usually brought about by an incident line side. The intention of this document is, by using this information and details of past experiences to effectively predict the level of service disruption that will occur, this, along with the time of day we will be able to roughly assimilate the degree of overcrowding that will occur about the station.
[Insert Station Name] Station has carried out, in advance, an assessment on the overcrowding possibilities and likely delay / possible recovery times for incidents that have already or are deemed likely to occur. The details are shown in Section 5 Disruption Table.
At high-risk times, incidents that cause overcrowding will be matched to a LEVEL between 1 and 3. This level will relate to the actions to be considered when a level is reached and the anticipated length of time that may elapse before normal service is restored. Within these levels are control measures which must be introduced to ease the effect of any possible overcrowding.
Note: As an event develops, the level may move up or down, so continuous monitoring and good communication are essential elements in the effective management of [Insert Station Name] station.
Network Rail station employees and TOC staff will be issued with aide-memoir cards to facilitate crowd management actions.
