PURPOSE
Network Rail carries out a number of Station Retail Unit refits each year. This system definition (and its supporting documents) is intended to reduce the amount of repetitive effort required to prepare for such a project, in particular reducing the number of Network Rail standards that must be followed in each case. It is also intended to allow Network Rail to utilise non-rail industry suppliers reducing project and whole-life cost of refitted assets.
No further changes are required for the business benefits to be realised.
