This procedure applies to managers who are responsible for the creation, review, issue and verification of training plans and managers who are responsible for delivering the local training process.

It applies to all signal boxes, manned level crossings and locations where there are emergency panels.

PURPOSE

This procedure sets out the arrangements for the local training process at signalling locations. It includes requirements for:

• the production, issue and review of a training plan;

• the production and implementation of a training timetable / schedule;

• the completion of the trainee Log Book;

• the process for completing local training and how it relates to the final assessment of competence
