This procedure applies to all Network Rail Operations employees with responsibility for the preparation, distribution, implementation and the briefing of Network Rail emergency plans.

PURPOSE

This procedure provides a framework to make sure that all identified locations are suitably risk assessed to minimise the risk to Network Rail and enables NR/L2/OPS/250 Network Rail’s National Emergency Plan, local signal box plans, bridge, tunnel and viaduct plans to be produced, authorised, published and briefed in a consistent manner across the network.
