This procedure applies to all Network Rail Managed Stations except St Pancras (Midland Road) Station. This station is covered by the St Pancras International Station arrangements.

Stations where the Train Operators lead with the development of the plans as the Service Provider to Network Rail Infrastructure Limited. Any alternative arrangements will be documented via Safety Validation or approved Statement of Arrangements.

The scope includes overall station security encompassing counter terrorism, other criminality and public perception of security.

Purpose

This procedure sets out arrangements for the security of stations. It provides the required leadership and co-ordination through prevention and crime mitigation required by:

• National Railways Security Programme

• Secure Stations Accreditation Scheme

• other security obligations as Station Facility Owner
