This module specifies the process to manage fatigue and working hours. It applies to all OTM Operations staff who undertake safety critical work and those who have

responsibility for the rostering and/or management of staff who undertake safety critical work.

Purpose

This module enables Network Rail to comply with Regulation 25 of the Rail and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006.

The module provides guidance and details the requirements for a Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS) using the ORR’s nine stage approach with basic

fatigue controls applicable to all OTM drivers.
