This Network Rail standard applies to the installation and management of adjustable stretcher bar assemblies, the management of lock stretcher bar assemblies, their associated fastenings and defects on all S&C point switches fitted with 35mm square section Adjustable Stretcher Bars on the following rail sections CEN56 (BS113A) full depth switches, RT60 shallow depth switches and CEN54 (UIC54B) shallow depth switches including plain leads and switch diamonds in running lines. Other S&C components not covered by this standard are managed in accordance with existing standards.

Purpose

This standard specifies the, technical instructions, maintenance specifications, and responsibilities for the installation, inspection and response to defects associated with adjustable stretcher bar assemblies.
