The contents of this module apply to all EBI Track 400 audio frequency track circuits. The more general requirements can be found in NR/L2/SIG/11752. Safety issues specific to EBI Track 400 applications are included directly or through reference to the generic EBI Track 400 documentation; general safety issues are contained in NR/L2/SIG/11752 and other relevant Network Rail standards.

Purpose

This Module mandates Network Rail best practice in respect of EBI Track 400 audio frequency track circuit in order to achieve the requirements of NR/L2/SIG/11752.

Where requirement conflicts occur, this document is to take precedence over the generic EBI Track 400 Manuals.

It should be noted that the Bombardier Manuals detail a few items of equipment which are not accepted for use on Network Rail managed infrastructure.The Acceptance Certificate PA05/04464 provides full details on all Network Rail Accepted EBI Track 400 equipment.
