This instruction applies to all persons engaged in the maintenance of public address PC’s used by Network Rail and/or the SFO.
Purpose
This instruction defines the telecommunications maintenance procedure for public address PC’s (Personal Computers) and RA (Recorded Announcement) equipment used by Network Rail and/or the Station Facilities Owner (SFO).
The purpose of maintaining public address PC’s is to decrease the incidence of failures through deterioration and to identify potential defects before they become service effecting.
