This module specifies the requirements for the maintenance of the Hi-Path and peripheral equipment.
It applies to all staff carrying out maintenance of the Hi-Path switches and any local HMI.
It does not cover activities undertaken by NMC (Network Management Centre)
Purpose
This telecoms maintenance instruction defines the maintenance and functional testing that Network Rail require for Hi-Path switches in operational and business buildings, which are provided to facilitate Operational and Operational Support communications for the safe operation of the railway
The purpose of maintaining and testing these switches is to decrease the incidence of failures through deterioration and to identify potential failures before they become service affecting.
