The documents listed herein already exist and are being used manage track assets on the West Coast Main Line. This document formalises the issue and control of the documents until they are absorbed into the regular Network Rail document structure.

The scope of this document applies to the West Coast Main Line and diversionary routes.

The scope does not apply to any other routes of Network Rail's controlled infrastructure.

In the event that the concepts, designs, techniques or maintenance requirements are required for application on other routes, the Principal Policy & Standards Engineer [Track] (PPSE[T]) shall establish a document set which meets company standard documentation format and reflects the standard organisation.

Purpose

This document provides an index to the additional documentation set which is applied to track asset engineering and maintenance on the routes defined as West Coast Main Line and upgraded under the West Coast Route Modernisation project.

The index contained herein shall be the basis of issue and version control for these documents.
