This module is for use by Section Managers [Track] (SM[T]) and applies to standardised RBM Inspection activities as set-out in NR/L2/TRK/7014 and bespoke themed track inspection activities derived using NR/L2/MTC/10662.

It does not apply to:

a)  TME inspections; or

b)  special inspections.

NOTE: For example those associated with hot weather, adverse weather, following an incident report or flooding).

Purpose

This module provides a process for the management of Themed Inspections for all Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) Regimes, known as ‘RBM Inspections’, to achieve a consistent approach across the network to;

a)  improve the reliability and quality of RBM Inspections; and

b)  develop the skill and competence of staff.
