This process covers the part of the workbank planning process which takes place within Major Projects & Investment and is designed to create project plans which are deliverable and give Network Rail the ability to manage risk, including forecast resource demand, for up to 5 years looking forward. It does not include any initiatives which remain solely within the Engineering database nor make any contribution to the external business constraints which are placed upon the company.

Purpose

This document describes the process and procedures that shall be used when developing the Asset Workbank Plan.

This procedure implements within the Major Projects & Investment function and applies only to those projects that are delivered by Major Projects & Investment.
