he LLI is required for use on both 25kV a.c. Single phase electrification systems. It shall be capable of providing clear and unequivocal indication that the voltage of the equipment being tested is above or below pre-defined voltages such that earthing or isolation of the equipment can be carried out safely.

Purpose

This Product Specification states the minimum performance requirements for a Resistive Type Live Line Indicating device (LLI) for use on the overhead Line and switching station equipment. The height of this equipment varies from 4.165 to 5.94 metres.
