The affected STS Concentrators are those where:

• A PETS 1 & 2 Level Crossing Telephone Systems having an interface to a STS Concentrator via an Auto Line Card. Connections made via the STS bespoke PETS interface card are NOT affected and no further action need be taken with respect to this part of this SIN.

• A BT exchange line(s) which terminates on an STS Auto Line card. (This includes BT circuits used in a switched direct line configuration).

Purpose

To address two separate technical issues affecting the STS Auto Line card when used to terminate either a Whiteley PETS system or BT exchange lines. The two issues have been combined into one SIN as their resolution may be intrinsically linked due to hardware / software build levels and to minimise the need to undertake separate site visits.
