This SIN applies to all Signal Engineering functions that maintain, install or commission signalling relays on the network. Its requirements also apply to organisations that handle relays serviced by NRS in the course of supply.
Purpose
A Q-series relay serviced by NRS has been found to have a defect. This SIN requires all relays within the affected batch to be located and visually checked and, if necessary, removed from service or the supply chain.
