This Special Inspection Notice applies to all delivery units with overhead line equipment (OLE).

Purpose

This Special Inspection Notice applies to contact wire knuckles installed in UK1 equipment, or UK1 type knuckles where they may have been installed in other marks of equipment. It is issued because of safety concerns and requires Maintenance Delivery Units:

  • To check the along-track position of knuckles in relation to adjacent registration arms.
