This SIN applies to all cast obtuse crossings supplied by Progress Rail Services or Edgar Allen from 2006 onwards – refer to NR/SIN/206/Record for all crossings in scope.
Purpose
The purpose of this SIN is to inspect and verify cast obtuse crossings supplied by Progress Rail Services or Edgar Allen. The verification will allow for a mitigation plan
to be developed to manage risk associated with wheel strike following wing rail extension failure.
