This SIN applies to all Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) on Network Rail controlled 25kV a.c electrified lines. This applies to both operational and non-operational OLE, for example training equipment and test facilities where used.
Purpose
The purpose of this Special Inspection Notice is to identify all Morris Line Engineering (MLE) 1250Amp Disconnector installed with either arc chute assemblies or vacuum interrupters and plan appropriate remedial action for removal or modification.
