This specification applies to all new auxiliary transformers installed on the D.C. Electrified Lines.

Purpose

This specification states the requirements for the design, manufacture and testing of 11, 22 and 33 kV single and three phase auxiliary transformers for ratings up to and including 500 kVA for use in d.c. traction substations, to provide low voltage supplies for substation domestic and for railway signalling and other trackside purposes.
