Bonding required exclusively for signalling purposes is outside the scope of this specification.
Purpose
This specification states the requirements for the design of the earthing and bonding necessary to provide a continuous return circuit for traction load current and return path for fault current back to feeder stations and to ensure that accessible voltages and touch voltages of unacceptable levels do not occur on 25 kV A.C. Electrified Lines.
